Meet Coach Scott

In my 30 plus years in the business world, I have observed the approach most companies use to improve their business rarely hits the mark. There is a tendency to devote almost all your time to working “In the Business”…rather than “On the Business.” You know you should be doing something, but what? Flavour of the day efforts begin because someone heard from a friend…”Check this out.” Without true commitment and buy in, all the effort eventually gets lost in the vortex of “busy-ness.” Even worse, the initiatives start being ignored by the team, who secretly hope that by lack of participation, this will just go away. Other efforts are woefully superficial, and the majority are misaligned and fragmented. Shockingly, the amount of time spent on critical activities designed to grow the business and the talent have an incredibly poor track record. Unfortunately, ineffective and disparate activities waste your investment & time and tends to jade your most valuable assets.

I believe in providing practical yet simple approaches based on qualitative and quantitative research to help executives and executive teams turn their vision into reality. I believe in the importance of company culture, talent management, customer focus and disciplined execution. My mission is to be a catalyst for positive change, unlock potential, and ensure the approach is stimulating and fun.

"Leaders have 3 fundamental accountabilities: to craft and communicate a vision, to foster alignment and to champion execution."
